By unanimous vote the Board of Directors of the Pensacola Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society has chosen William “Bill” Ford as their fourth inductee into the Pensacola Bay Harmonizers Hall of Fame.
A true devotee to the Barbershop Code of Ethics, Bill has served as President of the Pensacola Chapter for several years and as Immediate Past President for several more. He has been a mentor to all, but especially new members, even paying the membership fee for some. He has sung with the Chorus in the tenor and lead sections, and for many years served as Lead Section Leader. Bill is responsible for establishing the Hall of Fame. He has actively supported the Chapter’s fund–raising efforts, promoting the Century Club, working a concession at the Civic Center, selling ads for the Show Program, and promoting and participating in the Singing Valentine Program.
Thank you, Bill, for your leadership and your unwavering devotion to the Chapter and to our hobby of barbershoping. We commend you for all you have done, and all that you continue to do, for the Pensacola Bay Harmonizers.
